How to measure for a bubble mailer

- Measure the protected item's length, width, and thickness.

Do not assume a hoodie, shoe box, or collectible box fits a nominal size. Those items vary, and a box that slides in without padding may not fit when adequately protected.

Suppose your item measures 8 inches long and 5 inches wide after wrapping. A mailer described only by its outside “6 × 9” size does not prove that it fits: you still need the usable length and width, the item's thickness, and room for the closure. Ask for interior dimensions or try a sample if the listing is unclear.
When to choose a box instead
A bubble envelope is flexible. If an item must resist bending, crushing, or damage to collectible packaging, solve that protection requirement before selecting the outer size. A larger flexible mailer is not a substitute for structure.
